Universal Melody
As per usual I have no set topic. I thought of writing about Reiki. Sometimes I pick up snippets of things to write about during my day from something I saw or heard or more usual, from something someone said whom I know. But I do not write these comments down. Maybe I need to speak up and say them in the moment when I think of them.
There is the cutest tiny double stack of guitar amplifiers in front of me. I am at my usual tea and coffee shop and jazz will begin soon. Yes.
I have been drawing lately. It is nice to really see someone's features. It is fun to watch people too.
So if I were to write about Reiki I would write this: Reiki is universal light energy. It is in you but it also flows through you effortlessly. One simply taps into it. It happens all the time. We tune into energy all the time. With Reiki it is tuning into this energy for healing. That is the intention. I can think of Reiki and let it flow through me. I feel it moving around in my body. Aches and pains surface and Reiki goes to them. That is how it works, Reiki goes to where it is needed. One does not control it. Reiki is intelligent and goes where it needs to go!
I think that people who walk into a room and the room lights up, those people are the ones who are naturally tuned in and tapped into the universal flow of energy. Sometimes they do not even know it. They just are it.
Sometimes they are master healers like Jesus, Buddha, Yogananda, Lao Tzu, the Dali Lama. So many masters!
The Earth is a great place to learn to tap into this flow. Because being on Earth as beings that we are, condensed and solidified into this beingness, we have the ability to keenly focus and manifest whatever it is we want. We summon this life force and the life force comes and it goes into whatever it is we are focusing on and whatever it is we want to create. It's called progress. It is called quantum leaping when we are really tapped in. We let go and let the energy flow. Let the vision arise. We sense, see, hear our next move. We see the completion. We are reminded of the vision as the day goes and steps arise to take to get to that overarching goal.
Energy summoning energy. Us, each person who is made up of energy, summons more of it through desire. Desire. If there were no desire we would simply merge into the All That Is or we would decline into a lump of coal (though what a treasure it might be to be millions of years old though we are more in a different way, a way that we have no age.) Merging with the All That Is is a desire. If we were to completely merge and let go we may never return to Earth. The desire keeps us here. The creation. The desire I am talking about is the desire to create. Here we are creating. That is what propels us forward. We are the All That Is. A piece, a part in as much as we are It.
Reiki changes you in ways unexpected especially when you are first learning about it. It helps to clear old patterns and thoughts. It helps you to become more aware to see your patterns that may or may not serve you and then gives you the choice to be free of them. When you resist, things just get blocked up or you become an addict. Fear traps you and you redirect or avoid that which one wants. One might avoid what they really want because they are afraid of failure or success and of being seen.
When the person plays the saxophone a melody comes forth and in the coming forth life force is summoned. All the players meld together and magic happens. The melding of players creating music. All together listening to each other. That is the beauty and one becomes part of it. Others enjoy this creation too as it is being created right here before ones very eyes and ears. Can one taste jazz? If this writer could it would taste like strawberries and whipped cream floating on top of a warm almond and chocolate beverage. It floats there on top. It penetrates the room and our being. The room becomes quiet and listens.
In the same way, when Reiki is shared with another it compounds upon itself like two waves coming together, the force all the more potent and powerful. Often visions flow more freely and are clearer. Often learning takes place. Things unexpected such as words spoken that simply rise forth. This melding of energies and letting Reiki flow through from one to another a stream of consciousness is awoken in both, in all parties participating, then when one one focuses on the intention that intention is driven home. Maybe not all that day but the seed is planted.
In this wondrous universe, things arise and things subside. Universal energy comes through continuously unless we resist it but when we are tuned in life is magic. Doors open and we step through them into worlds we might not have otherwise explored. Curiosity is the partner to magic, the first step.

the clamor of voices
the softness of touch
the focus of the moment
the silence of breath
as soundless as one might get
without the one
