Available To All

There is a steady drizzle here in Greensboro, North Carolina.  It has been on and off all day.  

I met with a friend today.  I got to spend one-on-one time with her, and it was nice.  I made butternut squash and apple soup, some edamame with a glaze sauce.  I drank kombucha and she water.  We walked the dogs together.  I had not walked the dogs in weeks because of my hurt foot but I did OK!  

Sometimes my heart hurts and I feel lonely and want physical touch and snuggles.  I do not always get it.  Fortunately, I have my animals to keep me company and can give pets and get snuggles.  

I may work for a bit tonight; I have no plans.  Rest would be good too, though.  My aunt always liked to repeat what her father would say, that, he'd rest when he was dead.  My body feels like it could use rest.  

I know we yearn for love and want this with another person.  It is good that I do the healing Wednesday's with Kryon.  It helps me to love myself more.  This makes me feel good inside, saying that.  I receive more energy when I tune into love for self.  It makes giving and receiving a bit more available, easy, accessible.  But I know I need the rest.  I will rest for a bit and see!  

I enjoyed my friend today.  Maybe it will blossom and grow.

In a wondrous universe, where it rains, snows, and has cataclysmic events, nothing is set in stone.  May we tune into ourselves, tune into the Earth, tune into the Universe and know we create these things; we can steer them in a way that is easy, accessible and available to all; in a gentle loving, joyous, exuberant way!

The Forest Hums

I'm sitting in a North Carolina' McDonald's, close to Little Switzerland.  I've never been to Little Switzerland but it sounds interesting.   I was up on Roan Mountain last night.  I had a fire which helped to cook my mac and cheese and keep me warm.  It was a beast of a fire in that I got warm just keeping it going.  But once it was well underway it turned into a nice, slow-burning bed of coals. Yes, it was a cold night.  Fortunately I had my goose-down leaking bag from my 2003 AT thru-hike.  I do not think it is as warm as it used to be but with a double upper layer on and a single lower layer I stayed pretty warm.  My pillow which was a bag filled with rain pants and a quick drying towel was inadequate; so was my sleeping pad- a eighth of an inch pad that is only meant to go under a blow-up pad to keep from popping (My blow up popped a long time ago.)  I tossed and turned but finally fell into a long sleep.  The morning sun coming through my tarp tent woke me up.  I

Hop One Foot

 Hello friends.  I think of all the great writers from the past encouraging me on.   I have this foot problem again.  A weak ankle; an ankle that is sore from driving which has finally succumbed to the ultimate slow down- broke, fractured.  Can't put weight on- we'll, it has only been two days and I can actually put a little weight on it. It happened when I was on a beam about 18 inches off the ground.  I was looking for my dogs and I kind-of tilted to one side, lost my balance, jumped and landed with my right foot twisting.  It hurt and I was down for the count.  It took about 1000 counts for me to actually get up and make my way to the car.   So my planned hiking trip turned into a camping trip which was really quite nice!   Fortunately, I can drive and still make money.  There is an interesting thing about making money and competitors.  Often my neighbor will kind-of brag about his day driving for Uber.  I drive for Lyft and he makes it seem like he's making more money t

Tree Snap

Today, the sky was one black patterned wall of Strom, a almost tornado.  Eighty-five mile per hour wind gusts.  Lots of rain too.  There was a huge snap during the strom.  More like a pop or boom.  During my walk I saw that the pop was a tree that had fallen over.  Pretty sure not lightening, just wind and water and time for the tree to go.   Tomorrow I will work helping to saw up and remove fallen trees.
