Today I swam in the lake.  Goliath did not swim in the lake, he drank it, and later, frolicked in the river.

We'll.  It rained today.  A lot.  I wanted to drive more than I did but I still made my "quota".  It's the foot/ankle/toe thing going on, hurting like a throbbing, dull, aching.  That's what driving does after a while when you have a fractured foot.     It was nice today because I texted some friends.  Tomorrow I may see my brother and nephew again, the little tyke.  I will be on crutches still but, hey, it will be fun to hang out and get kicked by nephew a lot. That is what he did last time while we were sitting down at the table in the restaurant.   In The Shade of The Night Tree I'm going to allow some rest in the shade of the night tree where rest is allowed and the cool wind beckons warmth under the pillows of stars; comets remind me that we are not alone. Light Like A Feather

The vegan lifestyle.  What is inspired?  The introduction to Carlos Santana's autobiography is.  A plant-based diet.  Someone said today, after I had described to her what I was eating, that this diet I have been partaking in has a lot of starches.  This may be true.  Perhaps I do need to incorporate more plain-old-vegetables into what I put in my mouth.  Smoothies.  This requires a blender which I don't have.  So I eat a banana.  I eat a banana.  It is so easy.  One just pulls it off the tree when it's ready.  First it must be shipped and then I can go to the store and buy it!  There's a lot to a banana.  Bananas have a lot of starch too! I swam today.  Just enough to get a workout.  I got my swim in.  I swam, I swum.  I pulled myself through the water from one end of the pool to the other.  I don't do that neat flip and push I just grab the side of the pool and push off.  Not fan...

Candle

Candle light, water dripping beyond the window, fridge humming, candle light burning illuminating this keyboard.  About ten years ago when my grandmother bought this computer for me I was in Best Buy deciding on which one to buy.  I found a neat one where the keys lit up, they were illuminated from underneath.  I loved that feature but opted not to buy it.  Here I am now typing away.  I remember thinking back then that if I got this computer then I would write.  Finally I am.  The writing started way back when, more than ten years ago when I got this computer.  It started when I was just a wee lad writing poetry and stories.  I heard a women speak today at the Glenwood neighborhood monthly gathering.  She is a politician, or wants to be one, or a label that I am giving her because she is running for office.  She spoke of, I cannot fully remember what she spoke of.  Maybe it is not that important or wasn't that memorable....
